Barrage Upstream is a three part installation made of reclaimed wood and second hand furniture. The built structures are reminsent of wooden cabins, their purpose and composition are both visualy stimulating inside and out.
The work questions if people automatically view the dormant rooms are indeed static or are they in use? If someone is within one of the other two spaces do they think they are changing the behaviour of the immediately observed objects in that space. There are clues in both spaces to there linkage to one another, handmade images, dimmed lighting furniture all there to allow the audience to be wittness to the creation of a story.
These are placed in the installation to transport the viewers into an altered state, a place where dreams and reality are put into question and they are left unsure about what effect they have had on the space around them.
